eBay and the Effects of Feedback
What in the world does feedback mean to our reputation; does it really have a ton to do with it? Why on earth should my reputation matter so much; it’s not really that important, right?
If I were to give you a short answer to this question it would be no. The longer answer is also no. Let’s face it, eBay feedback is always going to have an impact on the reputation of the eBay user. Don’t worry, feedback isn’t always a negative thing; here are some of the more positive aspects of eBay feedback.
High Feedback helps us in the following ways:
• First, you need at least 10 Feedback to have access to many of the more advanced listing options.
• You need at least 100 Feedback to become an eBay Powerseller.
• If you get good feedback, you are going to have more sales. Trust comes with good feedback, even if your potential customers don’t know who you are.
If all your feedback is positive, you may qualify to be an eBay Powerseller. The positive feedback will help confer the multitude of powerseller benefits, and is a key part of accomplishing your long-term eBay goals. You should always strive to reach powerseller status if you are working on eBay, and feedback is an integral piece of that game plan.
Bad feedback, however, can really hinder our ability to achieve our eBay goals. Negative feedback has the following effects:
• If you get negative feedback, you give up your Powerseller status. You need near-perfect DSR if you want to be a Powerseller, and once you start slip and getting back Feedback, you can lose it all.
• If you actually get more negative feedback than you have positive feedback, you could be prevented from seeing quite a few of the listings on eBay!
• Let’s be truthful here, nobody wants to buy from someone who has received several negative reports against them. These people cal all see your history of feedback and if it doesn’t look good, they’re not going to want anything to do with you!
We are going to live and die based on Feedback on eBay. If you get positive reports as feedback, life on eBay will be a lot better for you. Negative feedback will result in negative experiences on eBay. It’s really as clear as that. With a bit of positive feedback and no negative feedback, you will have enough to propel your business through the world of eBay. We will follow up with other crash courses on eBay in following articles.
